A MESSAGE FROM THE TAX RECEIVERBy Patricia Colombo A Friendly Reminder that Your 2011 Town & County Taxes Are Due The Town and County tax payments are usually due on or before April 30th, but since April 30th falls on a Saturday this year there is a penalty free extension until May 2nd. The Tax Receiver’s Office will accept payments with May 2, 2011 United States Post Office Postmarks, along with walk-ins on Monday, May 2nd between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., without penalty. Pay Your Taxes On-line For your convenience, available only through April 30, 2011, you can pay taxes using your checking account through the Town website from the Pay Your Taxes On-line Quick Link on the home page. You will experience a quick and secure payment option. When on the Town website, you can view the Tax Receiver page and discover all you need to know about understanding your tax bill, including calculating the market value of your property and much more. Important Information Regarding Tax Payment Arrangements If you have an escrow account with a lender, but received your Town and County tax bill, please contact our office as soon as possible to provide us with details so that your lender receives all the information necessary to ensure a timely payment. If you have not received a tax bill, but should have, please contact our office immediately so that we can supply you with all you need for a timely payment.
