Road Naming Committee

The North Castle Town Board created the Road Naming Committee (RNC) to ensure the integrity of new street names.  In making its recommendations to the Town Board, the RNC considers a builder’s proposed street name along with criteria such as the names of former prominent local individuals, landmarks, natural features or events.  The Police and Fire Departments must always approve the choice.

The RNC reaches consensus, votes and forwards the proposed name to the Town Board for approval. 

Members serve at the pleasure of the Town Board.
