The Planning Department is staffed with a full time Director of Planning, one full time Planning Board Secretary and two part time clerks.
Director of Planning Adam Kaufman advises the Town with respect to the physical development of the Town of North Castle. The Director is responsible for the oversight and coordination of all administrative details of the municipal planning operation and performs planning studies related to the master plan for the Town.
Planning Board Secretary Valerie Desimone, assisted by part-time employees Gail Colarusso and Diane Kopenhaver, is responsible for the transcription of Planning Board minutes, filing official Resolutions of Approval with the Town Clerk, and maintaining the records and files in the department.
