READING & DISCUSSING GREAT BOOKS
Now in its 17th year, this group of light-hearted, heavy thinkers meets the 2nd Monday of every month for better understanding of one of the Great Books of all time: Shakespeare, Shaw, Chekhov, Homer, Chaucer, Melville, The Bible, Kierkegaard, Montaigne, Swift, Kant – more than 60 authors in all! It’s ideal for those with a real love of learning. The meetings are free and open to any who have read the work under discussion. This course is designed for the beginner to learn the ground rules of how to draw what they see. We will discuss different drawing materials and how they are used: how to compose your drawing; we will learn values and tones; we will make perspective an easy concept to understand and to apply; we will discuss measuring systems; negative space/shapes and more. DRIVER IMPROVEMENT COURSE
10% off your LIABILITY AND COLLISION INSURANCE for 3 years. Reduce up to 4 points on your driving record in only 6 hours. The National Traffic Safety Institute’s 6-hour Driver Improvement course will be held on Saturdays at the Hergenhan Recreation Center. The course starts at 9:00 and ends at 3:30pm. Those who complete the 6-hour course will receive a 10% discount on collision and liability premiums for 3 years and reduce up to 4 penalty points from their driver’s license.
