July 9 – PROFESSOR WINKLEBOTTOM’S AMERICAN VAUDEVILLE
An extraordinary stuffy professor from Wagner College on Staten Island arranges his 3 x 5 cards and fastidiously places his water glass at the corner of his lectern. He stares out at the audience and dryly sets out on what promises to be a tedious lecture on “The Culture and Entertainment Styles of the 1920’s” …then, the late comer arrives. With live music, including Brahms, Gus Kahn and Irving Berlin, comic juggling, virtuoso concertina, mediocre saxophone and really cool bubble magic and GUM!!
July 16 - THE BURR JOHNSON BAND
Jazz fusion at its best. Burr has played at the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival and has played side by side with B.B. King. A very cool night out.
July 30 - THE PARTY DOLLS
The Fantastic Party Dolls Showand Dance band is America’s favorite concert female cover group. They also happen to be one of the best party Bands around. The Party Dolls are three female vocalists choreographed with mini-skirts, go-go boots and funky diva garb (toned down for formal affairs). The band features four musician/singers. The show includes medleys from the 60’s (Supremes, Aretha Franklin), 70’s (Donna Summer, Earth and Fire) and 80’s (Madonna, The Go-Go’s) and much more…
About The Party Dolls
The Party Dolls started out in 1985 as a “60’s Girl Group and Motown Review” playing mostly at the Jersey Shore Night Club scene (they still do). Since then, the show has gone on from Nantucket to Maui and played in 18 states and 2 foreign countries (Bermuda and The Bahamas). The repertoire has also expanded to cover “70’s Disco Divas” and “Ladies of the 80’s”. From Motown to Madonna they are “A tribute to Girl Groups and Women in Rock”.
ALL SHOWS AT WAMPUS BROOK PARK AND START AT 7:00pm.
