WALKING WITH SENIORS

Join other Seniors for a weekly exercise walk. Walk at your own pace and enjoy the company of other Seniors. Benches are available along the walkways for rest periods if needed. Dress appropriately and wear sturdy walking shoes. Program #335905 A or B.

LINE DANCING FOR SENIORS

Join our beginner Line Dancing class and learn a number of popular dances including Elvira, The Bartender Stomp, Peaches & Cream, the Cuban Walk and Hello Dolly. Line dancing builds coordination and balance and is a great way to have fun while exercising! No partner required. Program #335903E.

ROSES IN YOUR GARDEN

Grow beautiful roses in your garden! During this practical, hands-on class, participants learn basic rose care, maintenance, and planting and pruning techniques for successful blooms. The differences between modern roses, climbers and old garden roses are also discussed. Participants work on live material which is supplied. Bring your garden pruners to class with you. PLANT PROPAGATION WORKSHOP

Learn the basics of growing and propagating your own home garden plants. This hands-on workshop will teach you easy techniques of propagation through seeds, cuttings and division enabling you to economically grow plants for your home garden. Program #335903D.

SENIOR EXERCISE

Especially designed with Seniors in mind, this class uses a combination of exercises for a total body workout using both seated and standing exercises to increase muscle strength while improving bone density and increasing flexibility and joint mobility. SPRING CLUTTER CLEARING WORKSHOP

ARTHRITIS EXERCISE FOR SENIORS

The Senior Activities Programs listed above are available for all North Castle residents, age 60 and older. In addition, all resident seniors may register for most Adult programs at a 20% discount. To register call 273-2944.
SENIORS DROP-IN CENTERS
Hergenhan Recreation Center, Armonk
Mondays and Thursdays from 10:00am – 3:00pm

Wednesdays and Fridays from 11:00am – 3:00pm
Our senior drop-in centers offer fellowship, companionship and activities for senior residents age 60 and older. Activities include ceramics, yoga, book club, arts and crafts, bingo, cards, films, clay, computers, knitting, music, walking, guest speakers, trips and parties.
Senior Transportation is available four days a week to transport seniors to our drop-in centers. Transportation is also available to take seniors shopping locally. For more information on this service, please call 273-2944 or 438-5629.
