ADVANCED DRAWING AND PAINTING  (Grades 5 – 12)

Explore the “creative process” with Mrs. “Z” in this new and exciting program.  This is an individualized class.  Bring a sketchbook and charcoal pencil to first class.  Students may use watercolors, acrylics, watercolor pencils, charcoal, pastels and pen and ink to express themselves.  They may also choose fashion design and architecture.  Program #322164C.

TEEN YOGA              (Grades 7 – 12)

Give your teens the opportunity to learn to deal with life’s daily stressors in a healthy manner while having fun!  Teen’s yoga increases empathy and imagination, plus improves flexibility, coordination and strength, while promoting health and self awareness.  Yoga is a fantastic option for all as it provides the chance to exercise in a non-competitive and non-judgmental environment.  Classes taught through poses, music, story, art, breath work games and props.  Limited enrollment.  Program #322836B.

PILATES FOR TEENS        (Grades 6 & up)

ZUMBA®FITNESS – Open Level

PILATES AND CORE TRAINING
(Both genders, appropriate for ages 14 and up)

Use of stability ball and weights are employed to develop core strength, balance, coordination and flexibility.  The class includes Pilates exercises and stretching and resistance movements to help tone the deepest layers of the abdominal muscles as well as the arms, legs, back and hips.  Please bring mat to class.  Limited enrollment.  Program #324837D.

ADVANCE DRAWING AND ART                (Grades 5 & up)

For this particular course, emphasis is on drawing from still life with charcoal.  The students will have a B/W graphite pencil assignment that should be completed by end of the spring session.  They will also work on a small color project using Pastels.  Students will be asked to sketch everyday in their sketch book, preferably, hands and feet.  For high school students, I can work with them on their portfolio.  Students must purchase their own supplies.  Supply list available upon instructor’s receipt of roster.  All students will be invited to participate in our Annual Art Show.  Limited enrollment.  Program #322161A.

TEEN COMMUNITY MURAL PROJECT             (Grades 8 – 12)

Teens can make their mark on the Hergenhan Recreation Center.  After selecting from three different themes, teens will work with Ms. Glickman to create a wall mural at Hergenhan Recreation Center.  Sarah Glickman is responsible for some of the beautiful wall murals at the local schools.  All materials costs included.  Limited enrollment.  Program #322148A.
