Website

HfH ReStore, New Rochelle, (914) 636-8335

Many local Habitat for Humanity affiliates operate ReStores, which sell reusable and surplus building materials, furniture and appliances to the public. The proceeds fund local Habitat house construction. Donate gently used household appliances (no older than 5 years old) and household items.

Westchester County accepts hazardous material at the Household Material Reclamation Facility. Go to the website for information on HMRF or call the Westchester County Recycling Helpline at (914) 813-5425. North Castle residents will be subject to pay a small fee.

The easiest method of removal and safe disposal is to have the old appliance removed and taken away by the appliance store when a new freezer is being installed.

If no other methods of disposal are available to you, call Suburban Carting at 1-800-273-9394 to make arrangements for bulk pickup.
