SPECIAL ELECTION - TUESDAY, MAY 23, 2017

The Town Board voted unanimously, on March 22, 2017, to adopt a Local Law to reclassify the office of Receiver of Taxes from an elective to an appointive position. 

This action is subject to a Mandatory Referendum, which requires approval at a general or special election by the Town’s electorate.  Therefore, a Special Election will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2017.

Shall the office of Receiver of Taxes in the Town of North Castle be reclassified from an elective to an appointive position effective as of January 1, 2018?

VOTER REGISTRATION INFORMATION: 

Residents currently registered with the Westchester County Board of Elections do not need to register again to vote in the Special Election. Those residents not currently registered to vote will have the opportunity to register in person.

Absentee Ballot Applications are available on the Town website or from the Town Clerk’s Office, 15 Bedford Road, Armonk.

ABSENTEE BALLOT APPLICATION DEADLINES:

Absentee Ballot Applications must be received by the Town Clerk:

  • Tuesday, May 16, 2017:  If ballot is to be mailed to the voter.
  • Monday, May 22, 2017:  If ballot is to be delivered personally to the voter or his agent.

ABSENTEE BALLOT DEADLINE:

  • Absentee Ballots must be received in the Town Clerk’s Office NO LATER THAN 5:00 P.M. ON TUESDAY, MAY 23, 2017.

Best efforts willl be made to mail Absentee Ballots to voters whose registration record is marked "permanently disabled" or "military" by the Westchester County Board of Elections.
