Propane Gas Tanks

Residual gas should always be burned off through proper use of the grill prior to transport or disposal.

 

Empty 1 - 2 lb. Propane BBQ Tanks:  

  • Bring empty propane gas tanks to Home Depot. 
  • Most sellers of propane will have a return policy for propane tanks.
  • You can also bring the empty propane tank to the Westchester County Household Material Recovery Facility at the Grasslands Campus, located at 15 Woods Road, Valhalla. Go to the website for information on HMRF or call the Westchester County Recycling Helpline at (914) 813-5425. North Castle residents will be subject to a small fee.
