| Mavis offers Westchester residents the convenience of neighborhood tire collection centers. When you are ready to dispose of your old tires, Mavis Discount Tire will take them off your hands for a handling fee of $1.00 per tire. Mavis will accept up to 4 passenger car tires per person, per year, but cannot accept any tires from commercial businesses. Please be sure the tires are unmounted, not full of water, and not covered in mud. The nearest Mavis is in Mt. Kisco, across from Applebee's and Target. | In 2003, New York State enacted a waste tire management and recycling fee of $2.50 per new tire sold. Additionally, your old tires must be accepted for recycling when you purchase new ones. | If you have a stockpile of old tires (up to 4 per household), these may be brought to the Westchester County Household Recycling Facility, located at the Grasslands Campus, 15 Woods Road, Valhalla.
