The North Castle Town Board created the Road Naming Committee (RNC) to ensure the integrity of new street names. In making its recommendations to the Town Board, the RNC considers a builder's proposed street name along with criteria such as landmarks, natural features, early farms and historical events, and former noteworthy residents.
The RNC reaches a consensus, votes, and forwards the proposed name to the Town Board for approval.
