Join Us to Beat the Spread!

Invasive vines are spreading across North Castle and the Northeast, causing serious environmental and economic damage. These aggressive vines are killing our trees and shrubs, destroying wildlife habitats, and degrading the quality of our drinking water.

North Castle's Volunteer Invasive Vine Cutters Program now joins 18 other Westchester municipalities to reduce the spread of invasive vines to protect our trees, shrubs, and local ecosystems.

Here's How You Can Help

  • Volunteer for organized vine-cutting events. Meet your neighbors, get outdoors, reduce stress, get light cardio, have fun, and make a difference.
  • There's no long-term commitment: Sign up for events that are convenient or important for you. Sessions are only two hours each, including brief instructions for newbies.
  • A reminder email will be sent a few days before each vine-cutting event.
  • Spread the word! If you know someone who might join this vital effort, email Doug Mancinelli at vinesdoug13@gmail.com. (Your contact information is safe with us and never shared.)
