Brita water filters are number 5 plastic. You may recycle with comingled.

Alternatively, bring your used/expired Brita water filter to Whole Foods in White Plains or Greenwich, CT. Whole Foods will have a drop-off box sponsored by Gimme 5 for the Brita Water Filters. The filter should be dried for at least 3 days, and wrapped in a plastic grocery bag. Both the filter and bag will be recycled.

  2. Wrap the filters in a plastic grocery bag, then pack it in a box. (Boxes and bags will be recycled.) If possible, send multiple filters at a time.
