The Town of North Castle Police Department recognizes the importance of providing the community with a safe, secure location for disposal of old, expired, unwanted, or unused prescription medications and drugs. The Prescription Drug Take-Back Program allows citizens to safely rid their homes of potentially dangerous prescription medications and provides for proper disposal, in doing so, protecting the environment and reducing access to potentially addictive medication or accidental or intentional misuse of medications by children or adults in the home.
The North Castle Police Department provides a steel mailbox-style disposal vault into which citizens may anonymously deposit unneeded medications/drugs. The disposal vault is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is located in the Police Department lobby in the Town Hall building.
