North Castle Eagle Sign - Press Release
On December 11th, 2023, at about 6:25 a.m. a North Castle Police Officer on routine patrol observed that the North Castle Eagle sign at the intersection of Route 22 and Route 128 had fallen down.
An investigation commenced and preliminary observations revealed that it appeared there was intentional damage to the sign’s support structure, which resulted in the sign falling down. Investigating Officers noted that due to the advanced deterioration of the wood support structure by rot, the time frame of when this damage was committed is uncertain at this time. Physical evidence was collected at the scene, and the North Castle Police Department Detective Division is currently investigating the matter.
