Alternatively, you may bring rechargeable batteries to:

- Staples

- CVS

where they will be disposed of properly.

Most consumer products using rechargeable batteries have been designed to allow easy battery removal for proper disposal and recycling.  If the battery cannot be removed, the battery or the entire product may be brought to a Westchester County Household Material Reclamation Facility. Rechargeable batteries are commonly found in cordless power tools, cell phones, video cameras, laptop computers, digital cameras, radio-controlled toys, and portable computers. Types include nickel cadmium (Ni-Cd), nickel metal hydride (Ni-MH), lithium ion (Li-ion), small sealed lead acid.

 

This material is hazardous waste and must be disposed of properly. This item cannot be placed with your waste for pickup.
