Westchester County New King Street Water Main Project (North Castle Water District No.8)

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS – DEC) issued an Order on Consent to Westchester County due to concerns about PFOA and PFOS contamination in the ground water and wells at the Westchester County Airport. The contamination has also affected the New King Street private wells. As part of the remediation, Westchester County is required to install a municipal water main serving the affected properties, water will be sourced from Westchester Joint Water Works, via an extension from the airport and a new supply main on New King Street.
